There are many stories a lot of them are true. It is a Mecca of food, drinks, beautiful old buildings, party, fun and more. Get ready for your adventure and take a few days off, because there are so many things that you can do and you don't want to miss them.
Instead of writing a lot about the city itself, I'll provide an article with all the things of what you can do, where to go, which café's and restaurants are good, night-life and more. Sometimes it is about the little things that have a bigger effect than just bubbling minutes over the same old thing.
HOW TO GET THERE
First of all, and that's important. How do you get to Amsterdam? There are several routes and vehicles you can take, and depending on where you come from one is better than the other.
AIRPORT SCHIPOL
By plane, you'll eventually arrive at Schipol. From there it is just a few stops to Amsterdam. Get out of the security area of the airport and you are about to see the signs where to get to the trains and you are good to go.
BUS
There are some bus companies such as Flix Bus which are convenient, comfy and not that expensive which will bring you to the Bus Stop Sloterdijk. From there you'll need to go to the trains, get your tickets (better have the NS App, because you can save a lot of money)
CAR
In case you are coming from Germany or any other nearby countries, road trip and rent a car, it's easy for you to get from one part of the city to another, but maybe needs some time, because of possible traffic and rush hour.
Therefore, leave your car wherever it is right now, obviously a parking slot and take the public transport, because that is really good and easy to use.
TRAIN
And there is of course the train. Luckily, while being in Europe you can use the regional trains, and they connect with all the European Countries very well.
WHAT TO DO
Like I mentioned before, there are a lot of things that you can visit and do in Amsterdam. And no matter what you decide, you'll get back for another time in the future.
