What do you prefer? PRO AND CON of travelling alone or in a group. Well, both can be good or bad. It always depends on what’s important to you.
In the following I wrote down all the things that came to my mind that are specific for either Travelling Alone or Travelling in a Group. With that you should figure out what fits better to you or what kind of things even situations could be more annoying or more interesting than others. Depending on what you expect for your trip it’s better to do it alone or in a group.
Traveloner VS Travelgrouper. Who are you?
I know I really like it to explore as much as I can. To get out of bed early to catch the first light of the sunrise on top of a hill, at the beach or in a forest. I like to challenge myself and to grow as a person. I like to plan my own trips and to have the freedom to do what I want.
ARE YOU THINKING THE SAME? Maybe you are a Traveloner.
OR MAYBE YOU HAVE A FRIEND/s WHO ARE THINKING THE SAME THING? Maybe you are a Travelouper.
Check yourself with the following thoughts for both sides. Let us begin.
TRAVELLING ALONE – TRAVELONER
In case you are travelling alone you can do whatever and whenever you like. You don’t have to think about getting out of bed early, because you are on your own and don’t need to wait for anyone. You are an early bird or you stay awake all night long, your choice, your freedom. You get to know yourself better and figure out what you feel comfortable with. You’ll grow and jump over your own shadow and overcome your fears and comfort zones. You can plan your trip the way you want to. You can run to the bus, train station, change platforms easily, only book one seat in a plane and the same for your accommodation. You decide whether you like to cook for yourself or to go out for dinner.
When something doesn’t work out, it’s only your fault… Or the weather.
TRAVELLING IN GROUPS – TRAVELOUPER
You are never alone and you always have someone to help you out. No matter what situation.
There is always someone to talk to and you can share a room in a Hostel, Hotel or B&B. Specially you rent a car you can share the time of driving from one destination to another. There is always someone who can check and take care of the luggage. The same goes for when you are out in a group and want to go to the beach. Some stay out of the water and others are in the water. With that you make sure that non of your things are stolen or lost. You can plan the trip together and decide where to go. When you are out for dinner or lunch you can share the meals and try more of the local food to figure out what you like the most.
In case you want to get out of bed early there are more alarms set to make sure that at least one of the group members gets up and wakes up the others. You never have to feel alone while you walk through the streets. Specially during the night it may be helpful to surround yourself with friends and do some club hopping.
Do you have a better feeling what you would like to do? No matter with or without friends, get your backpack ready and let's go. The next adventure is already waiting for you.
